@Nonilex This day care program comes in the continuing aftermath of the pandemic. NM caregivers for children were hit hard during the pandemic. Since then, there have been labor shortages, with service industries still cutting back on the times they are open. So this is a jobs program really. More people will get into the workforce and hopefully off of any public assistance. @Nonilex If the conservatives want parents to stay home and have children, they should pay them for that, like a job. Demanding parents stay home and have children and not providing any assistance or higher wages is really just pushing people into a permanent underclass. Which is probably what the conservatives want, based on their recent policy implementations.
