Prediction: if OpenAI IPOs with a $1Tn market cap, that will absolutely be the high water mark of the AI bubble and will trigger the subsequent collapse (they're losing $11.5Bn a quarter and have revenue around $20Bn/year). Such an IPO would allow the main investors to cash out. @virtualbri @cstross the elevator at my job has a screen that shows the news and earlier this week the news was "AI trend may have begun to enter bubble territory, warn experts". I just let out a loud cackle when I read that
