       in the 2020s you have to find creative ways of forming sentences that don't use certain ingroup signifiers or people will ignore all the nuance of whatever you're saying and assume you mean some ridiculous abstraction that people have formed their entire identity around

       @nyx i feel like probably the best checkpoint for philosophical competency is being able to look at a lot of philosophers and overtly insult and disparage them 'plato with a naive fool and a charlatan with no sensibility or grace of his own. a man so unbecoming as to only play butler to most of his kind at the time. a man given so much praise for so little. much like greek society itself he is a compelling man to cherrypick from and praise. so in many regards a perfect reflection of western 'culture' as it exists now. at the end of the day so many of these sorry bafoons can not see themselves as much more than scholastic butlers with 1 novel thought they can rest their laurels on. for them, philosophy is nothing more than a party. well, the party is over.'
