This is a book my sister wrote. If you enjoy survival stories you'll like this. Imagine being trapped in the basement of Graceland (Elvis' mansion) by an earthquake with armed looters just outside. She's an excellent writer and I'm not just saying that because I'm her brother. It's only $8 for the printed version (287 pages) and $3 on Kindle. This is her first published book. You should read this because it's a great story and you'll be supporting a talented new author. You'll also make me look good if I'm able to send her some sales from Minds. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C9SDM56J?ref_=cm_sw_r_mwn_dp_V7JJ88Z1157X2DF2SYNSHere's my sister reading a short excerpt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiW5DC9Lr4QSynopsis:Twenty-three year old Donnie is trying to find his footing in the funeral business. He and his sixty-two year old best friend, Ruby planned to spend their Sunday off work visiting Graceland shortly after the passing of Lisa Marie Presley. During the basement portion of the tour, Donnie is jarred out of his state of bliss by the major earthquake Memphis has feared for decades. He and the other tourists must cross the velvet ropes and use what they can to survive and find comfort while they wait to either be rescued or shot by looters.

"Meet Your Strawman"This particular book can be the very beginning of one's exposure to the matrix, and it will definitely take its readers to learn more about the enormous amount of lies we've all been told - all of our lives...

Not a specific one, but I would recommend anything that goes against your current outlook on things. Because it's a good way to broaden our understanding of the World, exploring perspectives that seem opposite to us.

I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as a book everyone should read, but one I'd highly recommend is Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand. There's much to turn many away from this novel, such as a stilted writing style and long sections of philosophy discussions, some of which go on for seemingly countless pages. And it's long, stretching to over 1,100 pages. All that being said, it's a remarkably good storyline, and although it was written in 1957, it's eerily prophetic of what the world has become over the past twenty or so years. It's one of my favorite books, and that's why it gets my recommendation.

The Problem Of Political Authority, by Michael Huemer. In a day and age where it seems far too many people trust in whatever the Government/politicians tell them without question, it's good to see someone like Mister Huemer challenge perceived political authority, and point out the many shortcomings of Governmental authority.

"Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams.A philosophy book that pretends to be a hilarious science fiction story.I never laughed as much as when I read the 5 volumes of this "more and more inappropriately called trilogy".This book changed my outlook on life. I keep remembering it every so often. And I heard Elon Musk say that he felt the same about it.

True! I stopped recommending it to people though because they kept telling me that it was too hard for them to understand. The average person has the mentality of a peanut. Then again, I stopped recommending anything to anybody for the same reason.

Invisible Man.❤️Well, why? What is it that makes a 50-year-old novel so engaging, especially one that is well over 500 pages long? There are a few superficial explanations. It contains sex (not much), violence (not gratuitous), a naïve narrator who takes a long time to learn life’s basic lessons, an honest and unvarnished look at racial oppression, and a cast of memorable characters. It is also a carefully crafted work that repeats its own motifs like a symphony, allowing readers to sense its unity and gauge its development without having to struggle. Its plot is engaging: the narrator is always in motion, or at least his mind is always racing, and the flow of his words carries the reader along. While all of these factors contribute to making “Invisible Man” a classic, they all support the main factor: Ellison wrote a novel of ideas. Not a single idea, but a host of them.

I'm not going to state the obvious book but instead another by the same author. ANIMAL FARM because it points out how corrupt politicians become after running on the narrative of being for the people.
