       Plenty of folks here are like “lol Mastodon is so great, zero outage because of Amazon or Microsoft going down”. But please realize that a huge chunk of Mastodon runs on Hetzner gear.So if Hetzner goes down, Mastodon will for most users. This will happen. Nothing is perfect, and humans make mistakes.And no, everyone running their Mastodon on their own home lab is not the solution here.

       @bitboxer I'm not sure of the point here. If you're looking for perfect, you're never going to find it. If you're looking for better/different/diverse, there are options. I can't imagine anybody thinks anything is perfect. Hetzner, AWS, or otherwise.
