@solonovamax@tech.lgbt I have nothing against the technology, but I hate what people decide to use it for.We need free (libre) AI now. So that the technology serves our interests and not the interests of the big tech companies.

@SuperDicq I used to be on that side of the argument as well, but not so much anymore.There are many open Source models out there but fundamental ethical and technological issues remain.

@betalars@chaos.social I wasn't talking about open source. The Open Source Initiative has its own definition of what constitutes "open source" AI models that I disagree with.I said "free (libre)", with which I mean freedom as defined by the Free Software Foundation.They are still working on their own definition of what constitutes ethical AI, which is unfortunately not done yet. But I like where it is heading and I would consider this fine to use.
