I only ever watched anime in the 90's like Sailor Moon, DB/DBZ, Berserk, Cowboy Bebop, Eva/Gunbuster, Vampire Hunter D... Maybe a few things I've seen from the 2000's like Claymore. When it comes to anime there's just too much shit out there. I don't have the time to get invested into something that's a billion episodes and there's just too much to choose from plus I have no clue what's even considered good. I usually like the crazy sci-fi or horror ones that are just a movie length or they're like 20 episodes or less and it's over lol. Some of the early Studio Ghibli stuff was cool like that Nausica Valley of the Wind one.

The cool thing was I got Mischief Makers for 64 as well, I think it was that same year... And that game was actually good. It's like one of the only 2D platformer style games on that console. I honestly thought it was going to be shit when I saw it, but it turned out being pretty cool lol.

@HonkHonkBoom @Goalkeeper I actually liked the bit early on where he was scared to go outside or look people in the eye based on his experiences in his previous life. I would like to see more of that in Eastern isekai, the MC's overcoming their problems in the real world or at least acknowledging them after the first story arc (a lot of isekai just end up being regular fantasy, the otherworld thing is just an early framing device that gets forgotten). ​You know, like in a classic hero's journey that isn't just slop power fantasy.

@Goalkeeper @HonkHonkBoom I'm going to recommend one that I've not dropped yet: The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How To Game The System. Caveats: I don't recommend the upcoming anime because it looks really bad, and also a lot of my enjoyment comes from the fact that the type of game this is based on is Diablo clones, so I get some enjoyment from recognizing builds and concepts.The upsides, though are that the progression is pretty natural, and the MC's foreknowledge is integrated in a very interesting way; since the character progression system is being used on real people with real lives, they don't benefit from being able to experiment with multiple characters and playthroughs, they're usually stuck with whatever they work towards for the rest of their lives so it's natural that they wouldn't discover super obscure meta builds that the MC knows about. That makes it surprising and intriguing when people with the most degenerate jank builds start showing up to fight the MC. It's really entertaining for me as a fan of ARPG's. Also main girl brings the clussy, and so far it hasn't become a harem manga (based monogamy :clussy:)
