@mathowie @shauna here's America's Test Kitchen meatballs and marina which would be a good starting point for your pasta sauce. They spend a lot of time refining these recipes

@mathowie @shauna also no matter what, get the San Marzano tomatoes. It makes a difference. Avoid the counterfeit ones without the DOP label

@lain @shauna @mathowie because that part would be illegal. You can say that they're San Marzano tomatoes as it has legal no protection in the USA. You can just say it's in the "style" of them or whatever. Free speech, our food labeling laws are complete garbage.But counterfeiting the DOP label is an actual crime IIRC due to our trade agreement with the EU
