       Without power - for fourteen hours so far. I plan to drive to the local car dealer to see if they have any cables in stock that might let me power the fridge from my car. Doubtful they have them in stock, but at least I’d be somewhere with power then to do a little work.

       Without power - for nineteen hours so far. My mission to drive to the local car dealer was a massive success: I have a little cable, pictured (and then two big mains extension leads cobbled together), and the contents of the fridge is saved! And possibly the freezer.Now the fridge/freezer is almost down to temperature, I think I'm going to nip out to buy a fan or two because it's too bloody hot: 35C/85F right now. Some fans would be useful, I think, anyway.(The plug on the right-hand side is an Australian electricity mains plug, in case you wondered what the hell that was).

       @adam I believe that the car could have run the whole house. If I had the right connectors - it’ll deliver 7.5kW if we need it to. But it was great - with a long lead - to run the fridge freezer.Podnews yesterday written in the dark, tethered to a mobile phone.
