@dave (i'll be that guy, but only since I was keeping a sharp eye on it at the time)DynamoDB was not the first AWS service by a long shot!S3/SQS/EC2 were the OGs, Amazon's first data service was SimpleDB, which unbelievably still works to this day (I still use it for some things) despite being overshadowed by Dynamo etchttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_Amazon_Web_Services

@js I think SimpleDB is what I was thinking of. I used it way back for an HVAC monitoring project. I think my first EC2 server was probably 2008.

@dave @js Looks like I was using EC2 in 2007, and S3 before that.I really should move off AWS’s expensive RDS database server. There’s really no need for me to be paying so much for that when I can spin up a dedicated Lightsail database server or three instead. I must look and see how long my longterm subscription has to go.
