       Quantum mechanics is composed of two separate branches: the physics of the atom and the physics of ether particles.  On the other hand, ether mechanics is analogous to fluid mechanics and solid mechanics: it describes the behavior of ether in the regime where it can be very well approximated by a continuum rather than by a sea of countless discrete particles, which is much more difficult to mathematically model.
