I'm going to see if I can do anything with this for my own curiosity. https://sdk-doc-spark.breez.technology/guide/about_breez_sdk_spark.html

This seems kind of cool but might be over kill for a podcasting app. It does let you spin up a wallet for the user with keys but then those keys need to be saved by the user to make sure the wallet isn't lost. I guess an app could save this for the user but that seems like a lot. There is a Misty Breez app that might be able to be tied to this then the user has the wallet on their phone but need to enter their keys into the podcasting app or spin up a new one just for the app.

This is very similar to the old Breez wallet that had podcasting in it so this is worth keeping on eye on since it's a lighter load and cheaper now. I still think NWC is better since it uses a temporary string that can be burned and recreated unlike the keys for Breez. Also doesn't tie this to one wallet like Breez. Just some thoughts after playing with this for a few hours last night.

Missed this demo version of this Breez sdk. This is kind of growing on me. Think old Alby but without the account and just the 12 word backup. https://breez-sdk-spark-example.vercel.app/

@ChadF Ok, this is pretty cool.It does store the recovery phase unencrypted in local storage. I'm sure there's some ways to work around that and store it in a secure cookie and to encrypt it, but it seems very promising.Log in is with your recovery phrase, so it's not Gene's Mom ready, but it is something cool to mess around with. I'm really glad you've got the coding bug Chad, you've been suggesting/doing some cool stuff lately.

@StevenB Storing the 12 words is where Im stuck right now. I've used CC and LNBeats enough to know that PWAs cant be trusted and thats what Im building. Also pasting in your 12 words every time is terrible UX and these are for recovery/backup.This is why I still think NWC is better, but I've only been playing with Breez for a few days so i still have to flush it out, but Breez was the gold standard years back when we started this journey so I'm willing to check it out.

@ChadF @StevenB I think the typical way for a PWA is to ask the user for a password and then encrypt it using that password.

@ericpp @ChadF @StevenB Is this new? Roy said a while back that the Breez SDK wouldn't be a good fit for podcast app v4v use case.

@dave Was that because it uses Lightning Addresses and invoices rather than keysend? @ChadF @StevenB

@dave I'm listening to PC20 episode 123 and it sounds nodes needing to be online was another issue for receiving nodes. Misty Breez seems to get around that by triggering a notification to your phone to wake up the app when a payment is received https://github.com/breez/misty-breezYou can also do Hold Invoices, which lock up liquidity in the payment path until the node comes back online. @kingonly mentioned Async on that episode, which I need to look into. @ChadF @StevenB
