I am exposing Pica‘s dark secret. Many people think because she has big eyes and a small button nose she also has a “cute little mouth.” This is a lie. Pica‘s mouth goes all the way back to the corners of her head, practically to her ears and she can hinge her head open like a hamburger.and given the chance she will!

Imagine if my mouth went all the way back to my ears. That sounds kind of awesome. I can't really blame her. But I just think there should be more awareness of this since so many people are just knee-jerk Pica defenders on here.

@futurebird Pica question. Does she push food out of her bowl as she eats? If so, does she consider the food pushed out of her bowl to be edible or some sort of non-food item that can't be eaten.

@futurebird We had a Nighthawk for a while. Teeny tiny adorable beak, head split like Muppet. Almost dropped the tweezers all the way into its gullet feeding it for the first time.
