@pony @vbabka or you can threaten them with switching and they give you a deal, possibly. when I ragequit UPC some time back (because of the modem always restarting) the operator was super butthurt that i didnt ask first

@pony @vbabka @piggo Yeah, I got exactly that for 400+70. Also if you're still on 50Mbps uplink, they should be able to make it into 200 (That wasn't my finest negotiation, I ended up just agreeing to a 50 czk price hike to get it)

@pony @vbabka @piggo Also, if you have internet and phone with them, they do surprisingly significant discounts on both on top of the "I'm leaving, how low can you go" price. Which I'm too lazy to set up but would probably save me two or three more hundred a month, lol

@pony @vbabka @piggo fwiw, the quote was 306/mo for 10 GB (and obv unlimited minutes/texts) which was already cheaper than my dad's corpo plan, and on top of that, another 120/mo down from the "I quit, what's the lowest you can do" internet price for having both.

@pony @liskin @piggo uh so somebody actually tried to get it now (at nyx.cz) and got the answer that due to low stock they currently (temporarily but no ETA) only offer it for the "Internet Ultra+" 2gbit plan where the only other option is the fritzbox that can't be switched to bridge mode. So that should hopefully mean with 1gbit you'll get a different router that can be switched.
