šØ IMPORTANT: #Liberdon has made the difficult decision to shut down by the end of the year. Liberdon was a vital hub for libertarian discourse in the wake of the "Great Twitter Cullings of 2018" and subsequent years - when the social media thought police attempted to purge most non-leftists. In recent years, social media has become generally more open to alternative forms of speech, and thus we feel our primary mission as a last bastion of free speech has been fulfilled.MORE BELOW š

Liberdon has > 2500 total users, with 411567 posts and counting. We know that some of our loyal users post regularly, as often as multiple times per day. Unfortunately the server costs have increased regularly, and as much as we appreciate our donors, the donations have not been able to keep up with costs. Admin commitments have continued to increase too, as signups and users require regular review for spam and other reasons.š

@liberdon Iām only a relatively new user, but I appreciate the effort.It was really nice to find a corner of the Internet with people that had similar ideas to me. Made me feel less lonely in an increasingly authoritarian and statist world.All the best š
