First cook on the NuWave induction cooktop at 900w. Brand new cast iron skillet. Using the Jackery battery as the power source. Pulling a bit under 900w.Cooking some beef sausage. Eggs and peppers, onions and mushrooms come a bit later

So, cooktop set at 900w, a 15 minute cook time at about 400°f took 16% of the battery. Not bad. Not gonna be doing and grand extended cook times but it'll work to keep me fed...lol

@TruckDriver yea it won’t do a Victorian banquet! But it will get your some food sorted. Which is damn cool!

@trekrich yep. primarily, i wanted to get rid of the butane stove. Dont like gas in the truck for a variety of reasons. Next was getting this jackery battery to use to take the load off the truck batts while parked. truck inverter is smaller than the inverter in this battery so I can cook a bit faster and easier. never tried an induction cooktop before so this is also a bit of an experiment to see how it works in the truck

Starting the 24h fridge and freezer test2 Alpicool units. 1 set at 34°f and the other one at -4°f. Battery is totally removed from the grid. I have the battery charge limited to 85% so starting with 85% capacity

Both units running simultaneously. If they were both running full time I'd get 14+ hours. As they don't both run full time, I'm thinking it'll make the 24h time in good shape

Not gonna make 24h. Darnit. Looks like maybe 15-18h max for these 2 units. 1 would make it 24h but not bothI'm calling it. Gonna plug it back in and go to bed.Laterz gaterz!
