       @Ricardus not really. I'm sure there have been but in the forums I frequent they've been relatively quiet. Mods of /r/rush seem to be having little of it anyway.Surprise and astonishment at the _ticket prices_, well that seems to be universal.

       @tezoatlipoca @Ricardus I had to quit going to the drum forums, for many reasons, but a prominent reason being they took every opportunity to shit on any woman drummer. “She only got the job for her looks”, “she makes flashy videos but can’t groove in the pocket”, “she’s technically proficient but she can’t rock (or swing)”, “she’s a fine drummer but she can’t come close to the (dead) man she’s replacing” etc.

       @Moss @Ricardus Well in this case, anyone who says this just isn't a Rush fan. Period. And an asshole. To critique Alex and Geddy _of all people_.. the _unmitigated gall_. Sure, like most I had never even heard of her before the announcement, but if Alex and Geddy say she's good, that's all the argument I need.I wonder if those same people were bitching about Chester taking Phil's job on tour just because he's black.

       @tezoatlipoca yeah that's the state of concerts today. I don't know how people can afford it at all. Some years ago two friends of mine drove from Minneapolis to Toronto to see them. I forget what year it was but it was probably more than five and less than 10.
