Fedizens, I need help. Somone I know has moved to Germany from the US. Is there any way they can keep their US cell phone number for 2FA? Google Voice and Google Fi won’t work

@wendynather I took my US phone to Japan and incoming calls received ok on the US number, outgoing same. It is expensive but works. Long term they should switch over to a "local" number. Air time is what costs; so once 2fa is switched over they can retain some cheap service (mint mobile, 25/mo) and forward all calls. But when they will cost the caller, I think.
