       I have spent this morning installing Linux on a Raspberry Pi 500+ and it has not been going smoothly. I swapped the 256Gb SSD it came with for a 4Tb one. The RPi imager only saw half of it to begin with, RPi OS itself is unusable with my eyesight, Ubuntu has force-upgraded everything to Wayland, and the world is on fire ...

       @cstross gah, modern linux has SUCH a DPI problem. all the displays are high-DPI now but it's so terrible at supporting it that no matter what you do, you'll eventually run into at least one program that wants to display at 1:1 pixels and you need a magnifying glass to read it.
