This type of labeling is merely a consumerist trend because companies want to do something for their PR and have too many higher-ups who are the type of person who votes Green.But the beautiful thing about conspiracy theories like this is that they are unfalsifiable: It can never be proven that it *won't* happen at some point in the future, since nobody has a time machine.By the way, I find it ironic that conspiracy theories like this are altering some people's behavior to a significant degree and thus, in a sense, controlling them. There's at least one person I know who started neglecting basic hygiene, refuses some real medication and proper medical care in lieu of snake oil, and at times buys extremely over-priced "natural" or otherwise alternative products, because of this "they are out to control us and poison us" panic.
