Hmm, HMD launched a new hybrid dumbphone, the HMD Touch 4G. It does have wireless hotspot functionality and a 2 MP camera, and 2 sim card slots, all which have been on my wish list for a long time. I'm trying to figure out... is this the best of two worlds, or will it be the worst of two worlds? I'm thinking about buying one from india. It's only 50 EUR, so even if shipping adds 100% it would still be a great deal! https://www.hmd.com/en_in/hmd-touch-4g?sku=1GE001CPG30C1

@h4890 be wary of hmd phones, their android devices are not bootloader unlockable which is ironic since they advertise themselves as easily repairable and environmentalist brand. Nokia's new logo is also really ugly and woke.

@oliphaunt True. The nokia logo is just a cheap brand attempt. Nothing of the original nokia remains. As for the phone, it is not an android phone, and that is another benefit! It runs, I think, RTOS Touch/Mocor, which is not related at all to anything android or google. I think Microsoft owns it, but the software was developed outside Microsoft which is why it is fairly ok. The cost is also 50 EUR, so I would not expect anything of quality for that amount.

@oliphaunt My experience is that the Nokia/HMD dumbphones break every 2 years or so. But comparing the price of a modern smartphone, and how often people buy those, with a nokia dumbphone at around 50-80 EUR, it's still a bargain!
