Is there a name or concept for when something becomes "mainstream", or the norm, it stops being "political"?I'm wondering if one of the reasons why some people retain the position "keep politics out of F/OSS" is because FOSS "won"? It becomes the norm and people stop considering it to be political movement?#OpenSource #FOSS #freesoftware

@Foxboron I don't think FOSS has "won".Free software and likewise free culture are movements that pertain to copyright reform.Yes, that is "political" and yes, there is an thriving ecosystem; however, it also doesn't mean regional/general politics aren't a distraction from the goals of the movement.

@scuti @Foxboron FOSS has not only “not won”, FOSS movement is complicit in creating the largest mass surveillance system in the history of the universe. Facebook, Google, and even NSA run on Linux. Richard Stallman is the antichrist of the software world, for having promised us heavens but in fact helping to descend us into the depths of hell.
