@judgedread @SleepingKiwi Don't you think you're partly responsible for antagonizing Christians on Fedi to that stage of griefer culture? In the same way they seek you out (regardless of whether its to argue, to try to cordially change your mind, or to grief) you seem to seek them out by constantly bringing them to the forefront of your discussions.Which is all fine and dandy, but I wouldn't insult someone or their beliefs and then act victimized when said "someone" lashes out at me. And I say this as cordially as possible because I genuinely enjoy, and find your posts about legacy media and its history to be insightful.

@Largo If you read that Rise of Christianity article you will better understand what I am getting at. In a tit for tat game the most ruthless player sets the tone. If the early Christians had adopted tit for tat there would have been nothing to distinguish them from pagans and they would have been absorbed or died out.Almost every modern Christian fails this test. I won't deny administering it on purpose.

@judgedread @maritzaamin If it was wasn't for immigrants our church would be dead. The Canadians there, real Canadians, are old, pasty White and quickly fading away. It might survive in the longish term with the Asians, but they do Christianity in their own very pragmatic way.

@petra At one point I went to the funeral of a very, very White man and the pastor and half his congregation (who showed up to the funeral for some reason, I guess they just liked hanging around) were Asian.I don't think the deceased had a single Asian friend.
