       @wjmaggos I’d look at how those Obama numbers are calculated. I think I read somewhere that most of the 3 million under Obama were turned away at the border or simply just left. Obviously check it, but most stats imply one thing while representing another. ie moving goal posts on Mass shootings, etc.

       @wjmaggos Didn't the Obama Administration mostly catch illegal aliens at the border and send them back?If I understand correctly, now people caught near the border know they should claim to be refugees, so that they can benefit from the delays that process entails.

       @nam @mpjgregoire that's what I'm seeing, it was mostly recent border crossings and violent criminals. I think everybody is for that. fund better border control and more of that. and more processing of asylum claims. then go after employers so that people leave cause there are not the jobs for them but more jobs for those born here.I think it's all driven by the demand for cheaper labor and both parties have donors that want that. we're all also going to.need to pay more.

       @wjmaggos  I remember when the stated big plan of US immigration restrictionists was "Build the wall" plus "Mandatory E-verify" to keep illegals out of the labour force.  ICE becoming a paramilitary organisation, with masked officers grabbing people and throwing them into detention camps... well, it's not something I ever expected to see in the US.(Sorry, @nam@noauthority.social, it looks as if my instance blocks yours.)#uspol #ICE #immigration
