I made a mistake. I admit that. Keep in mind through, randomly following users, not saying anything, and nearly all the posts being about asking for money, at first glance it is suspicious, and any reasonable person would agree, especially considering how often scammers are on social media. I did not know this was a real account until I researched it more. I am not going to vet every person on social media who randomly follows me, but In this case I was wrong. I am not sure how to ask for money on social media to people you don't know, but randomly following people silently is suspicious, no matter the justification. EDIT: Another edit of the initial edit because @mayohnyo would rather attack people than open a dialog about an honest, understandable mistake. @Overgoddess

@Dennis5891 @mayohnyo @Overgoddess Thank you for posting a correction, I appreciate it.Our goal with Gaza Verified is to protect Palestinian people in Gaza from scammers on the fediverse who would add to the pain of those already suffering from genocide and famine and to ensure that the fediverse remains a safe space for our friends in Gaza. I hope we can count on you as allies in this mission.
