       I worry that university presidents will think that they need to surrender to Trump’s demands to save the institution, but they need to understand that if they surrender to those demands there will be nothing left of their institution to save.

       @overholt if they dont know this already do their institutions deserve to survive?many of our 'great' academic institutions have produced some pretty shitty people and leaders i have worked in some awesome places, like Johns Hopkins, for many years. but if they dont have the ethical fortitude to stand up to trump, i dont care what happens to them

In the 1920s, the University of Colorado was told the legislature would cut the budget to zero unless they expelled their Jewish and Catholic students.
