       With Windows 10 support ending in a few days, I guess it's time to remove the last vestige of Windows in my house and install Ubuntu on my gaming PC. Luckily every Steam game I want to play (Slay the Spire, Civ6, Stardew Valley) already supports it, so it's not a big sacrifice.I literally used to be on the Windows team, so it gives me no pleasure to say this. End of an era.

       There was a time when I was actually excited about the direction Windows was going in. The kooky Surface laptop that could bend around and turn into a tablet, Windows Subsystem for Linux, the whole idea of Windows 10 being "the last version of Windows ever," touchscreens and styluses and weird stuff like that. These days I just want an OS that works and that doesn't make me sign into a bazillion things and show me ads in the start menu, so I guess Linux it is.
