"Sixteen-year-old Reuben Nsemoh was playing soccer for his school in Gwinnett County, Georgia last month when he was kicked in the head and ended up in a #coma. Despite the severity of Reuben's brain injury, he regained consciousness after a few days. But what happened next came as a complete surprise to everyone around him.The boy—a monolingual speaker of English—was suddenly able to speak #Spanish fluently. He no longer was able to speak #English." 🤯Source:https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-superhuman-mind/201610/how-coma-made-young-man-suddenly-speak-fluent-spanish#SuddenSavantSyndrome

@publicvoit I'm reading this article to see whether they have any testimony from Spanish speakers confirming that the boy actually spoke Spanish, or whether it's just a bunch of monolingual English speakers speculating that the sounds he made were fluent Spanish. :D
