I’ve been very happy about the standardized tests moving to using “desmos” rather than expecting every HS student to buy an expensive graphing calculator. But I just had the most horrible thought: what if these clowns try to put an AI button i. desmos too?No cloud software is ever safe. :(

@futurebird Given that LLMs (we really need to stop calling LLMs "AI" — it only exacerbates the problem) literally can't do math, I think if they did such a thing in something so single-purpose, it would probably go away very quickly. Though not until after they waste a lot of money and possibly break everything I admit. (I guess one could only cross their fingers and hope it ends well instead of badly.)
