Okay. Let's assume that I'll have enough time and rage to try creating something like Duolingo and learn a bit of programming on the way.I need something, some languages/frameworks to choose, that are simple enough, and give me multi-device capabilities.- main target is of course a mobile app.- but it needs to work in browser since android devices become too closed overtime.- should be easily ported to desktop because most people won't care to self-host a server.- have adequate multiplatform design while not being heavy on system and memory (I hate fat apps).- there're some design simplification apps (like Figma?) and I would like to be able to use them. If possible.- have enough libraries since I don't want to write my own ftp protocol system from scratch. And for now I have only a little experience with Python and Kivy framework (and kivymd).

Oh wait. How cursed is it to use Godot for that? :blobcatgoogly:

The app should be just like a game and Godot really fits into most of my requirements. :blobcatthink:

@yura@udongein.xyz i heard people having some success with that, and since relatively recently Godot is now able to export Android apps with C#

@yura@udongein.xyz by 'like' you mean an alternative to? then the app itself is the simplest part, one also needs write the actual lessons themselves somehow and duolingo themselves learned that the is no short and easy road in language learning

@taxuswc I understand. That's why it should have an easy lesson import/lesson creation tools, yeah. And I want to learn how to develop apps yep.

If you have tons of time, dart / flutter is the eaz choice today, supports all platforms you listed. It also has a "high ceiling", ie. you can go a long way on ui and implement crazy designs likehttps://codelabs.developers.google.com/codelabs/flutter-next-gen-uisbut that stuff is hard. Duolinguo style animations are easy.It also has a huge quantity of documentation / videos / conferences to learn from, and tons of multiplatform libraries. There is a low code solution called flutterflow but it's a pricy and cannot really recommend

@yura !! project time, good luck!!for hobby programming projects stack choices, I think it's also good to consider: what do you most want to *learn*?If you like to look for a coding job in the future, it might be good to pick common choices which people would look for expertise in when hiring
