Just on the Dutch TV: the average price to buy a house is now around 500.000 eurosAnd that’s for a medium sized houseMy parents build their own huge house for about half that 30 years agoAnd they wonder why I refuse to get a load of half a mil to buy a home hereSometimes stuff feels so pointless here

@stux things are so expensive now. Apparently globally. Where i live the average home is about 1.2 million USD. They're not even amazing, huge homes. Cheap ones are 600k. Even ours that we rent went for 750k and has outdated wiring, is on oil heat and is still on septic instead of sewer despite being right next to sewer lines. It's old. I love it and its history - I was just shocked at the price. I don't understand. It's... Something. I empathize. 😔
