We already had legal discrimination, it was called segregation and it worked fine. Are we gonna pretend that there were no White Christians who lived during segregation? It was even more granular than that; some areas where I'm from would have two Catholic churches on the same street. One was for the Italians and the other for the Irish. You still see that today, sort of as there are specifically Spanish churches, Vietnamese churches, etc. Granted, I think these should be done away with because if you want to pretend to be assimilating, the bare minimum is speaking the same language and many foreigners won't even do that.

@SuperSnekFriend Putting aside any theological discussions, modern paganism doesn't actually have a real continuity with historical pagan religions which were not ethno-centric but transactional in nature. People see the existence of regional gods and godesses and think it's some sort of blood and soil deal when you had Greeks and Romans adopting Egyptian and near-eastern deities not out of particular kinship but out of desire to gain favor with the local spirits and whatnot. The thing is they impose a distinctively post-Christian influenced view of godhead and the relationship of the diety to its worshipers that didn't really exist in the past.

I can't think of any classical pagan religion or modern mainstream religion that ever had a hard ethno or racial law or principle that prevented any kind of engagement with it from racial outsiders. Even the Old Testament allowed foreigners to be considered followers of the true God, even if a non-Israelite's ability to engage with the OT sacraments was very reduced per God's ceremonial laws. The only ones that do seem have a hard racial limit to joining the cultus and "being saved" seem to be modern fringe groups that piggy back off the Old Testament Yawehism or Christianity, like Chabad-Lubavitch, Christian Identitarianism, Black Hebrew Israelism, etc.

@SuperSnekFriend An aside, but I find it interesting that Christianity is seen by many in these circles as one of the primary universalizing and globalizing factors of modernity but they rarely talk about what more demonstrably has turned the west into a rootless melting pot: Capitalism. It seems that for many it's easier to ditch our civilization's Christian priors than it is to challenge it's (classical) liberal priors.
