I remember this guy tried to argue that the jews of today were biologically entirely different from the jews who wrote the Bible, but it was such a morass of novelty take garbage that I couldn't confirm any of it.

@judgedread I've seen a few arguments before that the hebrews of the old testament were all killed off by 70AD and that judaism was basically dead until it got revived by foreigners sometime around 680, perhaps as a result of islamic scholars being interested in old writings.

@judgedread Because it is a story of jewish trickery, one that was probably common for the era in which the hebrew were settled in egypt. Its also in particular text that was of interest to islamic scholars. I don't really have any sources for this, I'm mostly working off what I recall from past related discussions.

@Ash_Kvetchum I have never heard or read a jew claim that he descended from those two tribes that the OT itself condemns.There was a funny DNA study that claimed the closest living relatives of jews are... Palestinians.

Particularly if it cites DNA evidence.When I say jews don't claim to be Edomites or Canaanites I mean that is not something any major faction claims. I know Koestler defended the Khazar theory, that is the most significant 'jews have been replaced' argument, one that most jews say has been debunked by DNA sequencing. I never found it that convincing.You can certainly find a few dozen jews to defend damn near any theory about themselves. There's even the Synagogue of Anti-Semitic jews. Woe unto them.

@mocloc The 'replaced jews' theory is not the only one in accord with that claim. Maybe they were always genetically indistinguishable from their nearby Canaanite enemies.

@judgedread The DNA evidence shows admixture after contact. Which is what God warned them about when admonishing the Israelis to stay separate & genocide the Canaanites or they‘d become like them. Between that & the later passages of “those that call themselves Jews, but are the synagogue of Satan” & “You are the children of the father of lies, the devil & there is no truth in you” while addressing the direct ancestors of today’s Jews, there’s some millennia old shots that are called in the Bible.

@Obfuskation They're a filthy band of desert grifters and they always have been. They never accomplished anything but fabricating lies. Egypt did nothing wrong enslaving them, which probably never happened but I wish it did and they'd castrated every last one of them.

Jesus promised them that if they killed Him they would have all their land taken away from them, and within a century Caesar had delivered: the resulting conflict was so bad that centuries afterwards jews that shipwrecked on Greek islands were immediately killed.Of course the based Romans killed and expelled them for doing all the same jewish shit they do now.

@Countermeasures New Testament jews act exactly like jews today so there has been no jew replacement in the last 2000 years. They're the same inbred tribe.
