@SirEviscerate New job search meta. Send letters to tons of people explaining why you can't work for them under the assumption that they obviously would want you, but you are too busy, and they don't have the right benefits or work environment. So sorry maybe next time etc.

@SirEviscerate Having watched the hiring process from the inside there is a big tendency to chase people who already have a job and don't want to come (mostly because they are a know quantity who can do the job) rather than get a new person and help them adapt and become better than the people they already know. But also... "someone we already know" might just mean "Ann said she knew him" which is ... nothing. So I think this would work. And in PR I say it's "fair play" YMMV otherwise.
