It’s not even about “biological men competing in womens sports”, ultimately what it’s about is not wanting trans people to exist at all. The sports thing is a red herring, don’t fall for the bait.When kids are trans, what they need is all the help and support we can provide. Puberty blockers and hormones to help facilitate. God forbid a kid should be comfortable in their own skin.But, oh, no, we can’t allow that either because, again, the end goal is making it harder or impossible for them to simply exist. It’s not about sports and never has been.

That’s NOT what any of this is about, any more than it’s about “protecting children” or whatever other bullshit they want to throw out.They want to eliminate trans people, full stop. Eliminating puberty blockers and hormone treatment, bathroom laws, and the nonsense about sports.It all boils down to they don’t want trans people to exist, and if you start buying one piece of it, you buy all of it.It’s the trans equivalent of what got Jimmy The Greek fired back in 1988, but I recognize that’s a little farther back than the internet remembers these days.

This tacit transphobia is often referred to as ‘dogwhistle’ transphobia. For example, one UK based transphobic hate group bought a full page advert which read: ‘Woman: an adult human female.’ The statement itself is not transphobic, but when the context for the statement is that the group in question believe that trans women can never be female the transphobic intent is clear. Similarly, when a football ‘fan’ throws a banana at a black player during a match, the racist intent is clear even though bananas are not inherently racist.

If you claim otherwise, you are - at best - twisting language.This is not the same as throwing a banana at a black person as it does not promote stereotypes."You are not a woman" is not hate speech, because no one thinks men are inferior to women. "You are a monkey" usually is, because humans are - whether rightly or wrongly - generally considered superior to non-human animals.

“You are not a woman” is, in fact, hate speech. It’s an attempt to deny someones identity in a situation where acknowledging their identity is vital to their health and well being.It shows a callous disregard for the other person and their future existence which is why it will not be tolerated.

Can you name any other context when the vague notion of one's identity is vita to to health and well being. Aren't people called all sorts of names by other people regularly, rightly or wrongly, and expected to ignore it?
