       @mlanger Some absolute fuck driving up my street in his double cab short box four wheel drive in second gear without the slightest idea of the power curve of a diesel. <rant on> Diesels were a good technology for the time, but they are stinking rattling pieces of shit that have no place on highways in this day and age. They are heavy industry tools that have been improperly marketed for every day use for no reason. Most people do not need to have a fucking beet truck as a daily driver. <rant off>

       @JamesK I've got two diesels: a truck that I use to haul a lot of big, heavy shit and a boat. (See photo.) Neither of them are rattling or loud and they don't belch black smoke. A lot of guys who have these big hopped up trucks make modifications to make them louder and smokier. They are assholes. Don't blame the tech. Blame the people who alter the tech.
