WTF?!? This safety(?) feature is going to maim pedestrians, for sure. Just look at how much recoil there is. And how often do EVs find themselves in wide open spaces? Not in traffic, and not in parking garages.

@MCMLXVIIOTG @wgiwf @smugumin so essentially the same system used by an airbag for catapulting a 50 kilo batterybank for 3 meters or more.if someone stands in its way he can say bye bye to his chins and ankles.but its better then the alternative, thats for damn sure.i guess you can call this the best from a set of bad options.if anything, it shows that the idea behind electric vehicles continues to be bad.at this point it would be smarter to put a electric wire above every road for a car to get power from the way a tram does.none of this shit is viable for long range travel anyway, so fucking design around that.

@lichelordgodfrey @MCMLXVIIOTG @wgiwf @smugumin im just waiting for zog to figure out that it would be more efficient to use "green" energy in a closed circuit to electrolyze water to produce hydrogen.then use that as a mobile fuel source.no matter how bad electric vehicles and its batterys are, hydrogen fuel cells are worse.

If it wasn't ruptured before they shotgun it it sure will be after.Plus... what does this actually solve? It might stop the body of the vehicle from going on fire, but that's the cheapest part. The battery fire is still gonna happen (and probably going to set off a row of scooters now)

Hydrogen isn't that bad on it's own. The main safety issue is that it's flame isn't visible (like ethanol) so people can end up getting too close without realising it.If you're thinking of explosions you're probably thinking of HO, which is a completely different story.

@Jens_Rasmussen @Some_German_Guy @MCMLXVIIOTG @lichelordgodfrey @smugumin @wgiwf @randbot It's safe and perfectly usable, 30-40% cheaper per distance, even after including the little extra maintenance needed.Countries phase it out due to considerably lower income from gas fuel tax compared to petrol/diesel tax per liter.I've done probably 350.000 kms on LPG, between 3 cars, never had problems.

@MCMLXVIIOTG @smugumin @wgiwf Here's my prediction for how this will play out:- Car battery catches on fire- Car catches on fire- Battery gets shot out like a cannon ball by force of the explosive ignitionAssuming the EV hasn't gotten involved in a car crash that deforms the battery housing in any way or has otherwise damaged the ejection mechanism. It's not just that pedestrians will be ankle-swiped over and head-first into a violently burning battery, it's that the battery rack will hit them like Renaissance era artillery, smashing them into one of China's well built buildings, which will probably promptly collapse onto them, ensuring that any hope of surviving is rendered impossible, short of some freak luck. Assuming that the area of breach of the battery housing doesn't cause said aerodynamically unstable "cannon ball" to fly wildly and unpredictably off course like a Chinese missile. Fortunately I have a great solution, it's a little known technology that was invented some many many years ago. It's very efficient, convenient, reliable, and far less prone to violently exploding if the fuel cell is breached.

@Eleutheria2 @nugger @MCMLXVIIOTG @wgiwf @smugumin The problem is the EV kikes are doing everything but facing the sober reality: Battery powered cars are retarded because the batteries can just 'decide' to ignite and cause problems without any serious external input. IC engines fuel tanks don't just blow up on their own sitting on the side of a street or in your garage, etc. It's a proven safe technology that only experiences problems when it's already experiencing problems. An accident, abysmal maintenance, etc, and it rarely involves violent combustion and explosions unless it's already involved in some severe traffic accidents or freak degradation for want of maintenance. Usually a poorly maintained ICE car just...doesn't go. Annoying, but avoids the jail time/lawsuits for killing/maiming pedestrians and destroying other people's property. Trying to invent all these goofy solutions to a problem that is easily avoided is dumb, all because for whatever reason getting the world to adopt EV fagmobiles is apparently part of Globohomo's big plan. I won't even go on about how their environmental credentials are also dubious. TL;DR gas the Jews for real this time.

@WTFPurpleAlpaca @Eleutheria2 @nugger @MCMLXVIIOTG @wgiwf @smugumin So uhh, about that, back in the 70s, ford made this mistake called the 'Pinto' .. but yeah, it take horrific design failures for an ICE vehicle to blow, where as the best safety measures we have can't keep the coal powered battery storage cars from going boom at random..

@WTFPurpleAlpaca @MCMLXVIIOTG @Eleutheria2 @nugger @smugumin @wgiwf Good post. And yeah don't forget lithium burns at like 4000°F and the amount in an EV battery takes thousands of gallons of water to extinguish and if you don't put it out, can burn for up to 12 hours. That's definitely something I want put in enclosed tunnels and parking garage, not to mention on the road with me.
