       I think a lot of people who hold the view of "the way to peace is to love your fellow human" and as such lecture you when you insult the utterly poor character of fascists are probably also the kind to think it's fine to call people stupid and/or diagnose evil people with mental illnesses as an insult. They're sometimes even bitter misanthropes who hold onto the "hate doesn't get us anywhere" excuse when it serves the purpose of lecturing another person. Or they feel patriotic because they believe their nation is one of freedom and equality and take any criticism of the deep deep roots of this oppression as tyrannical because it goes against what they learned in grade school.I am very tired of these kinds of people and the overall "love wins" messaging.

       I'm not actually "full of hate" because inside of me there is an immense amount of appreciation for fellow neurodivergent and/or queer folks who help me reaffirm and expand my understanding of how society operates, and who will join me in experience joy differently. I am filled with appreciation for BIPOC and disabled folks who share things that I don't experience firsthand. I appreciate the people who work hard in the fight for a Free Palestine or migrants' rights; those who educate the public on digital literacy and the threats to privacy we are facing. Climate activists, cycling advocates, community organizers for mutual aid. The people who put up odd street art around me that most would think is vandalism.But people who want to hang onto the cruel side who want to maintain white supremacy, they don't see this as a valid form of "love" because they are defiant. To the supporters of power, defiance can't be love.
