"We love our imperial past and our folk but we're also going to incorporate the liberalism that was transfused in us after the war" like holding thesis and antithesis in the mind at the same time without reaching synthesis. @WhiteJihadJaws If you’ve ever seen/read the princes of the yen it articulates very well the phenomenon (from an economic perspective it it applies broadly) where the first few generations after the war were all still basically fascists who ran the state like fascists they just called themselves liberal and called their very NS style system “free market liberal democracy 😉“ but they forgot to tell their kids and grandkids that they were just pretending to trick the Americans and so once they came into power they tried to transform Japan into a more accurately liberal country, to its detriment. So basically there’s a strange mental state where they think they did liberalism better than most people thanks to the post war economic miracle and are mixing up ideas that they didnt have with ones they increasingly do have. It’s a mess. I really hope that deep down the japs are just faking all the libtard shit and are waiting for America to get weak enough that one day they all rip off their masks, hail the emperor, cut the throats of all the foreign devils on their islands, and then invade China.

Everything plays out like in ww2, but Japan is doing everything it can to not repeat their fate. The crushed the empire( china of that world) and civilized it. The Russian empire was mechanical, and quickly decided to become friends with Japan. The came the demons, the Americans. They are represented as literal barbarian demons who rape and murder for fun. Japan decided to build nukes and start genociding them in order to stop a new world war. The author is a hardcore nationalist as expected. I forgot the storys name, but its good shit. Japan is doing what the allies did to them, but this time, they leave no one alive.
