       It sounds creepy but it is a thing. When my second daughter was born, my cousin's wife visited us at the hospital with a friend of hers who is a photographer and she took photos for us and my cousin's wife needed some butterfly wings that we laid her on for the picture. We posted the pictures on Facebook and immediately were inundated with family members consoling us on our loss. We were totally confused. Turns out my cousin's wife had a side Hustle where she Scopes copies of stillborn fetuses and dresses them in knitting clothing for grieving mothers who lost their babies in childbirth, and her friend who's the photographer takes death photos of babies.So it may seem creepy to people on the outside but in The grieving mother's circle there is a very large industry of immortalizing dead babies.

       Like I said on the outside it definitely seems creepy and weird. My cousin's wife suffered a miscarriage herself and to this day she still has a memorial to her lost daughter. The sculptures look just like the fetus but sleeping peacefully. They're very lifelike. Because of her personal experience with it that's when she founded her side hustle as a non-profit charity. It's just her way to do something in her daughter's memory and help other grieving mothers be able to have a baby to hold that they never could hold it's very typical that doctors take away the dead baby and don't even let the mothers hold them unless it's of a certain carriage.

       Tgis isn't one of her works, but this is exactly what they do. This was a still born and with the assistance of hospital staff they dress the baby and take photos like this before it's handed over to the corner.
