The stormfags should love this one... too bad they can't read. From April of 1944, until the end of WW2, the battle cry of the Waffen SS was "Take it Easy!"The exact reason is unknown, but it first started among Skorzeny's commandos. It was said IN ENGLISH, and often shouted back to Allied GIs, by Kraut commandos in American uniform, trying to misdirect them. When Skorzeny finally surrendered, along with his XO, Karl Radl, and their driver, a German naval ensign (driving up in their own personal Jeep), the arresting sergeant opened up a bottle of wine, passed it around, and declared, "Drink up, boys, for tomorrow, you'll hang!"To which Radl replied, "Take it easy!" The three Germans laughed. The sergeant didn't get it... because he already thought they were just casually using an American phrase.
