#Mastodon is starting to get borderline unusable with #Husky. We really do need a free and uncensored fork of #Moshidon, kinda like how #Husky itself is a free and uncensored fork of #Tusky.

@nikclayton @nikclayton #NoAuthority is the instance I want to use on it. #Moshidon uses a blocklist called #Fedinuke which prevents certain instances from being used. It's intentional, like the same decision for #Tusky was (I don't know if #Tusky still does censorship or not though)

@gryzor @gryzor They keep you from using certain instances with them. #Moshidon uses the #Fedinuke list specifically to censor instances.

They won't install though since the packages conflict or something.I am also not sure to what extent this version supports #Mastodon's new quote post feature.

@realcaseyrollins@social.teci.world @SuccuCirno Very cool, been awhile since I've used #Moshidon, looks like it supports emoji reactions, so I could theoretically use this fork with #rebased. No support for creating quote posts though, at least as far as the eye can see.

@heretical_i @nikclayton Is #Tusky still maintained? Does it support quote posts and edits and stuff? #Moshidon supports those features and has a far more modern interface to boot.I thought #Tusky used to blacklist a lot of #Fediverse clients as well, which is why #Husky was created in the first place.

@realcaseyrollins edits yes. No quoteposts, yet. Still maintained with a beta too. It appears for some time the fdroid v was a prob for some reason so it was taken down, but recently fixed. There's also Subway Tooter. Has LOTS of settings, but havent used recently so dunno about quoteposts etc @nikclayton
