🚨 Gaza Verified: Emergency appeal for @aseelfromgz Aseel, her lovely cat Liza, and her family are in the danger zone in North Gaza and need your help to get to the South.To find transportation, rent land, and get a tent is going to cost them roughly $4,500 when you figure in the 40% commission they’ll have to pay when withdrawing the money in Gaza. @aseelfromgz Good morning everyone! 🤗 How are you all doing this morning?It was a late night last night so I gave myself an extra hour in bed this morning so I can function (at least somewhat) properly.Aseel’s Internet connection is better in the evenings but I’ve messaged her to see if she’s online and we can continue the drive when she is. (She sends me the updates of the donations received to her PayPal account so I can’t give you an update of the ones we got while we were sleeping but I will the first chance I get.)To recap the state of things from last night, we set out with a goal of raising $4,500 for Aseel, her family, and their adorable but currently poorly little cat, Liza with $330 already raised at the start of the drive. @aral @aseelfromgz I really needed to read this today —my levels of helplessness were very high. 💔My last donation was a small one for Aseel, Miqbat and Reem, because they had received the least so far.I can’t help financially anymore —I’m out of money— but I will keep giving them my voice and visibility.And honestly, I’m glad to be “ruined” if it means saving lives. ✊
