       The panel was asked to consider whether the combined #vaccine for measles, mumps, rubella & varicella should not be recommended for #children younger than four. The panel voted 8-3 to approve the change, w/ 1 member abstaining.This vote means children who receive their #vaccinations through the #Vaccines For Children #federal program will not be able to receive the #MMRV shot until they’re 4 yrs old.        @Nonilex Another step backwards, to the dismal past.Start reading Thomas Malthus.We joked about the "dismal science". I first heard this old joke from Emmett Vaughan. We thought Malthus was over, but Emmett might have a laugh (were he not already dead himself).Now, the joke's on us.whatever flaws this man had, I won't palpate. He did care about people around him, and expressed his care with concrete action. I mention him here because of his support of Public Health. #PublicHealth
