@Nonilex Trrump's short-term memory is clearly challenged. He has met Mandelson, the UK's ambassador to the US, more than once. That he was the ambassador would have been a routine part of any State Dept briefing, which would have included which people were the most visible part of US-UK relations. Two other explanations seem at work, too. Trump didn't listen, or even allow himself to be briefed, and he's the only one who counts in any room, anywhere, at any time.
