@wolf480pl @warandpeas yes, absolutely insane! kkr originate from electromagnetism but applies to pretty much everything as the underlying concept has no physics in it. it's mostly about how and when we use complex functions (and the fact that imaginary parts are just made up, so other than vector notation indicates, they do not carry double information).i learned this during bachelor thesis and now I'm a phd and i still think it's probably the most beautiful thing in physics.
