       how on earth are ATSC 3.0 broadcast stations drm? cmon guys, they're ripping that stuff from your streaming service, not ota. now i can't set up #jellyfin or #plex to use the ones that actually decided to upgrade. anybody know a proxy or something that cracks the drm? 😂#linux #hdhomerun #hdhr

       @elite I think a huge part of this is that because of streaming services, very few people are using antennas anymore. I am quite sure that if antennas were the primary device of choice for people without cable, there’d be enough pressure for them to change their ways.I actually do suspect that eventually there will be enough pressure for them to kill #DRM on #ATSC3 but it’ll just take some years to get done.

       @realcaseyrollins i disagree. a lot of people are shifting away from sat / cable and using things like hdhomerun. cable / sat has like 15 channels worth anything and 1500 that are garbage that they charge you for in packages. you need like 40 streaming services to watch what you want. it's gotten out of hand. 😂
