@foone I feel like this could work (as well as being neat) as a real-life captcha if it showed you the manual page next to it as a slightly crusty scan? No idea if bots could defeat it but AI is kind of bad at counting like "fifth letter of the word" type stuff

@foone I don't know if they ever re-printed the game, but fixing typos and minor errors in the manual for a 2nd edition sound like pain.

@fooneI remember the SSI AD&D games where all dialogue was in a printed book, and you just had something like "read page 5, paragraph 6 now (or similar).And the book had random nonsense paragraph in it, too, so you had to really play to get the story right.

@pulkomandy @dragonfi yeah there's multiple versions of the game because they changed the manual, and they did have to change this screen when they translated it!
