       @hanse_mina German MP and speaker of the defense committee #Kiesewetter made an encouraging proposal: #NATO air policing over Western #Ukraine.(ed. source: https://nitter.net/RKiesewetter/status/1965730777301463458#m) Encouraging because that would both help Ukraine and push back a red line into Putin's direction. Punishing adverse behaviour instead of rewarding it. Parents will know what I mean.

       @hanse_mina A few years back a Russian fighter jet violated Turkish airspace, entering from Syria.Turkish air defense shot it down straightaway.There was some diplomatic turmoil, but Putin understood the message. "Don't f*** with Uncle Erdo." After a short ice age the two spoke again. No escalation, no WW3.This is what Putin needs. A slap on his hand, or rather a quick punch on his nose.
