***I'm not female, but my fix for this would be to thumb your nose at society, be a rebel, and add pockets... lots of pockets... to your clothing. (I know women just buy men's clothing to get over this issue).

@ai6yr We had a long ongoing discussion across the now-dead bird app about women's clothes and the lack of pockets. It's probably time to launch another such discussion here given the slow turnover in couture designers.I remedy the lack of pockets a few ways:- work aprons with pockets (I've added pockets on a few)- tool pouches tied at the waist- small molle tool holstersAnd yes, modded puny fake pockets into functional pockets.

@femme_mal @ai6yr @femme_mal @ai6yr I'm a male, but one of my favorite types of pants, tend to have larger pockets than usual. Are those pockets usually of a decent size for women as well?

@ai6yr I have a ratty vintage printer's apron I reserve for art. The pockets are perfect.I'm not crazy about the possible implication that a woman must wear an apron to get pockets, but I'm a messy worker and my aprons look like I mean business -- denim or canvas, no frills or gewgaws. This one I'd consider:https://dry-inc.com/products/printers-apron

@ai6yr If you're more into function than fashion, there's a niche brand of women's workwear called Dovetail that does this nicely. And I'm feeling stupidly pleased because I just snagged a pair of their pants USED. Not only do they have the deepest front pockets I've ever seen (halfway down to the knees!), they have some weird, practical tailoring that I've never seen before. Like a double layer of fabric in the front (thornproof!) and darts (?) around the knees.

@ai6yr usually I make my clothes and always add large pockets. Recently, when travelling I needed clothing in a hurry. Bought some ladies jeans. They were not cheap.Put them on, went to put hand in pocket, it was sewn shut. On investigation, not even a tiny useless pocket. Just a seam shaped to look like a pocket. No pockets whatsoever.Who wants jeans without pockets??I will be unpicking and adding pockets as soon as I have time.

@sarae AHA! But men do now! That is probably why some of the pants I have have such LOUSY pockets, they expect you to be carrying a murse.

@ai6yr @ai6yr You know, I thought the advent of the supersized phone would have inspired apparel companies to give women bigger pockets.

@realcaseyrollins @ai6yr Can you put your phone in your pocket? Your wallet?I can't think of many pants/skirts/jackets/vests I've bought right off the rack into which I could put my smartphone (since about Android 6).I don't carry a large smartphone, either, because I've got small hands. Most could handle my wallet in which I rarely keep more than a credit card, healthcare insurance card, folded cash, driver's license. All I want is pockets big enough for the phone and wallet.

@femme_mal @ai6yr @femme_mal @ai6yr they're actually kind of absurd, I usually put my stuff in both pockets (phone, wallet, keys, wireless earbuds), but cargo pant pockets tend to be so big my stuff often slips and slide out without me noticing. I could probably fit two pockets' worth of stuff in one cargo pant pocket, and that doesn't even factor in the knee-level pockets those pants usually have either.

@femme_mal @realcaseyrollins @ai6yr Also, I want small and light iPhones like 4S and minis but Apple stopped making those. I'm a small weak guy too. :(

@antdude @realcaseyrollins @ai6yr I hear you on that. My first Android was an LG that wasn't more than 4 x 2.5 inches. Loved it to death, was only slightly bigger than my wallet. But the rest of the market insisted on following Apple, making phones with displays big enough to have movie night with your seat mates on a plane. Nope.

@realcaseyrollins @ai6yr The only place I can regularly find working togs with rationally-sized pockets is Duluth Trading.I like how they tell men looking for more cargo pocket space than they offer, "If you run out of room, you might just have too much stuff." LOL

@darwinwoodka @ai6yr @darwinwoodka @ai6yr Well, what sells better:"This is our biggest phone yet"Or"This is our smallest phone yet"#Apple has experimented with keeping small phones alive but those models don't tend to sell very well.
